About a month ago I was outside walking around enjoying the weather when I walked toward our storage building. I seen my dad packing around a white bucket. I asked him what he had in the bucket and he said nothing yet but I'm going to put a fish in it that I found while I was headed toward the garden. I went with him and sure enough there was a big goldfish flopping in a small puddle.
It rained hard a few hours before that and my brother has a pond on the other side of a big hill next door to me and my brother stocks the pond with baby goldfish every few years. This goldfish must of washed down the creek that runs from the pond when it was raining heavy and when the rain stopped it must of got stuck in this puddle. I picked in up and put it in the bucket. I was surprised it was still alive because it probably wouldn't of lasted much longer in this tiny puddle. You can see that in some of the pictures that it was losing some of it's scales. If one of our cats would of seen it first it would of made a big meal for them.
I showed it to my mom and brother and he took a picture of it in the bucket. It was getting late in the evening and I needed to find a place to put it before it got dark so I set up an aquarium outside and took pictures of it. The next day I packed the bucket up the hill and to the pond with my dad and released it.
I was happy to help it and was glad I had the chance to take pictures of it to share with you.
